Akua Allrich’s 8th Annual Nina Simone & Miriam Makeba Tribute Concert
Eight Years Running, DC Native Pays Tribute To The Late Jazz Icons Nina Simone & Miriam Makeba At The Atlas Center For Performing Arts
Winding down her highly successful Soul Freedom Tour, renowned Jazz musician and DC native Akua Allrich, with Red Bark Productions, has set the stage for her 8th Annual Nina Simone & Miriam Makeba Tribute Concert. On October 9th at the iconic Atlas Center for the Performing Arts, Mrs. Allrich will pay homage to the two powerhouse artists who have inspired millions from around the globe.
In what is certain to be an eclectic and intimate musical event, the tribute will consist of two sets, one at 6:30PM and the latter at 8:30PM featuring iconic songs made famous by the late legends. With Mrs. Allrich at the helm of a sizzling hot band, and backdrop projections, her electrifying renditions are a can’t miss event.
Tickets are on sale now at www.atlasarts.org. The show is expected to be at capacity, it is highly encouraged to purchase tickets in advance.
